Feeling the blues

Hey there beauties,

I know i haven’t been very consistent lately and it’s mainly because i’m searching for inspiration! As much as i love to blog, i sometimes get writers block, so i just take a week off or so to gather my thoughts. Anyway, i hope you’ve had a great start to 2018, and you’re on your way to achieving your goals.

Right, so i’ve been playing around with some bold colours lately, what’s new? Haha. I decided that i wanted to do blue as i haven’t done a blue eyeshadow makeup look in a while and i saw a photo on Instagram that really inspired me.

This look wasn’t as easy as i thought it would be, reason being, the eyeshadow palettes i started off with weren’t giving me the colour payoff i wanted, so in the end i must have used three or more blues to achieve the look. Hey it’s art and you have to get your hands and brushes messy!

Now here’s the look i did, which i will break down for you.

Ok, this look is not for the faint hearted! I’ve really went in on this.

Maybelline dream liquid foundation, which i’ve been really enjoying. To set, Mac mineralise skinfinish powder. To highlight, LA girls concealer in Fawn and to set the concealer in place, RCMA no colour powder, which has quickly become a favourite of mine.

I started off using the Morphe 35 U palette but quickly decided that it wasn’t giving me what i was looking for, so i then used an old palettes from Shany 7 layer masterpiece kit to basically complete the eyes. I used the NYX  liner in vivid sapphire to create that wing which i thought set the whole eye look off. I added some lashes, swept some shadow on my bottom lash line area, to finish off the eyes. Oh i almost forgot, i added a bit of gold to my inner tear duct area just to bring the eyes to life as it was so monochromatic.

Kept them very simple, with just some nude lipstick and a nude lip gloss from NYX.

I hope you liked this very bold, statement look. Feel free to try it out.

Thanks for stopping by.
