As October is breast cancer awareness month, i thought it would be fitting for me to do a makeup look with the colour pink which is the colour that represents breast cancer awareness. Breast cancer affects us in one way or another, whether it is a family member, friend, or even one of us. Whatever the case may be, we can play our part by letting them know that they are not alone and they should be strong.
Breast cancer awareness is an effort brought forward to educate individuals, helping them to increase their knowledge on the whole subject. Women should ensure that they do regular check ups as this could lead to early detection and treatment if necessary.
How can you play your part in breast cancer awareness?
1. You can join a group that does fundraising, this could include baking, sewing, cooking, running marathons, selling t-shirts or other trinkets.
2. Donate in any way you can, whether it’s clothing, money or volunteering your services. If you know someone who is going through or has survived, offer to give them a make over. Take them shopping or do their makeup, make them feel beautiful and accepted, if it’s only for a day.
3. Offer encouraging words, which may be speaking at campaigns or visiting their homes. They need to hear this as they are some times at their lowest. Stand with them, they need all the support they can get.
I am an advocate for breast cancer awareness, so i just wanted to share a makeup look i’ve done, this is an easy, soft and very feminine look. I’m hoping that this will inspire and cheer someone up.
If you’d like to see the products i used and also how i achieved the look, here’s the tutorial. Thank you for watching.
