Very simple, that’s how i like my makeup sometimes. This look was effortless, didn’t take me a long time to achieve. I often times go for bold lips when i want to keep everything else rather minimal and it makes the entire look very polished and somewhat glam. I didn’t apply any lashes, just a few coats of mascara and a huge wing! (normal for me).
For the face, i mixed Black Opal’s stick foundation in ‘Nutmeg’ along with Makeup Forever Mat Velvet+ foundation in #75, i like mixing my foundations, that way i get my perfect shade. To set the foundation i used a mixture of Smashbox halo powder in medium and my trusted Mac Mineralise skin finish in ‘Dark deep’, i was actually trying something new by using two powders at once, haha. I usually just go for my Mac powder just by itself. I lightly did a bit of highlighting, i discovered a brand called Pro artist by Style Essentials in my local TK Maxx. I used their correct and conceal palette, this palette was £7.99 and it’s not too bad, i’m still testing it, however i reached for a medium shade concealer and popped it under my eyes, to set that concealer i used the Ben Nye banana powder. I also used their Pro artist bronzer palette £5.99, to lightly contour my face the darkest shade. Then their blush palette £5.99 which has some lovely shades of pink, i mixed two blushes which are the brightest shades and that brought my cheeks to life.
Eyes are quite neutral, with only mascara, winged out eyeliner, a bit of L’oreal khol eyeliner for my water line and some highlighter in my inner tear ducts to make me look more awake.
Lips are a deep, vampy red by Nyx Full Throttle called ‘Loaded’. Such a richly pigmented, matte shade which will be perfect for Fall.
That’s it! it sounds like a lot of product and effort but it really wasn’t. I promise you this is one of my easier, ‘go to’ looks when i’m having a lazy day.
